Miglė Križinauskaitė (b. 1987) is an audiovisual artist, photographer, and filmmaker exploring the connections between time, memory, landscape, and the still and moving image. She holds an MA in Film Directing from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (2020) and is currently a PhD candidate specializing in experimental filmmaking.
Rooted in analogue photography and experimental filmmaking, her practice is influenced by autoethnography and psychogeography. She creates cinematic experiences that blur the boundaries between landscape and dreamscape, examining how interactions with the environment become shared, fluid experiences—shaped by the artist’s embodied gaze, presence, intention, and the tactile qualities of 35mm slide and Super 8mm film.
Her work, inspired by the nostalgic qualities of analogue media, explores the dynamic relationship between artist and nature. She examines how spaces evoke memory, emotion, and imagination, and how movement, perception, and storytelling create immersive environments where memory, imagination, and reality intertwine, inviting viewers to reflect on both their inner and outer landscapes.
